CD229 (Lymphocyte Antigen 9, LY9) Protein
Protein information
CD229 (Ly9) is a type I cell surface glycoprotein that belongs to the signaling lymphocytic activation molecule family (SLAMF) of cell-surface molecules. SLAMF receptors is a group of signaling molecules that are involved in the regulation of immune responses. This type I transmembrane glycoprotein is expressed on a variety of immune cell types, including thymocytes, T and B lymphocytes, and natural killer cells. Expression of CD229 is also detected on T and B cell malignancies.
