CD85a (LILRB3/ILT5) Antibody
Protein information
CD85 is a group of Ig superfamily tansmembrane glycoproteins called Ig-Like Transcripts (ILTs) or Leukocyte Immunoglobulin-like Receptors (LIRs). CD85a is the 110kD member, known as ILT5, LILRB3. CD85a is found on the surface of monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, NK cells and T-cell subset. CD85a binds to MHC class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells and transduces a negative signal that inhibits stimulation of an immune response. It is thought to control inflammatory responses and cytotoxicity to help focus the immune response and limit autoreactivity.
