Laboratory activity
Merged with the Flow Cytometry Facility in 2020, the Antibody Facility at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência centralizes the provision of monoclonal antibodies for the local research community. With a reasonable hybridoma collection, the Antibody Facility main focus is the production of mouse-specific monoclonal antibodies, antibody purification and fluorescent labelling, providing as well scientific consulting.
Techniques available
- Small to medium scale monoclonal antibodies production from hybridomas
- Hybridoma sub-cloning
- Supply of unlabeled and fluorescently labeled monoclonal antibodies for research
- Protein purification and quantification
- Fluorescent labeling of antibodies or proteins
- Mycoplasma testing
- Cell culture
- Multicolor antibody panel design and validation for flow cytometry
